They must choose to live or to die. The movie opened on 2,476 screens and grossed $18,276,468. With a total budget of around $2 million dollars, I’d say it was pretty successful. And of course this greenlit the sequel, which was released the following year. Worldwide box office results ended up being $102,917,772. Not bad for Lions Gate.
